TOURS
Players need to be prepared to become independent of their parents. They need to look after their bodies, eat properly and continously hydrate. WBS tours include several climate and altitude changes. Coaches and staff are there to supervise and remind players on consistent basis, but players will learn to start taking the intiative on their own if they really love the sport. This will prepare them for the next level.
Players need to supply at least 2 pairs of plain white pants (1 piping line is ok), black socks, black belt and a black/red/white helmet. Hats and uniform tops will be provided for the players. There is also gear available on the online store that will be ready for pickup on day 1. Please email staff or fill out the order info on the Shop tab of the website to secure your optional gear. A more detailed packing list, specific to each tour, will be issued closer to the tour start dates. If you would like to ship any gear or product prior to your player arrival please contact staff and arrangements can be made to have that available for your players arrival.
WBS owns 15 seat vans and 8 seat SUV's for passenger transport. A cargo trailer is also part of the fleet to pull luggage and gear during the tours.
Our players on our west coast tour may stay in hotels, dorms or host families. Players on the cross country tour stay in hotels.
We generally average about 1 game per day on tour. Our 15-18 year age group will play 25-30 games dependant on late advancement in tournaments.
Our cross country teams will average one game per day with occasional doubleheaders after full travel days.
Yes. We have tournaments and games in multiple areas of the country where scouts attend. Steve has also been a professional scout for 10 years and has helped place over 150 players at various colleges and universities himself. We have had over 40 players sign professionally with Major League organizations and pro leagues overseas.
All of our games have live stat feeds and based on weather and service we often sync video fees with GameChanger Manager so that you can see your players in real time. Keep an eye on the News and Results page for further information. GameChanger App can be downloaded for IOS and Android phones.
Yes. Often times we may have available seats for parents in our vans, but most parents will travel on their own.
